The Origin Story

Starting from Zero.

Coach Randy
CEO & Founder | Find Your Zero Fitness

Hey there — I’m Coach Randy, founder and head coach here at Find Your Zero Fitness. Let me tell you a little bit more about myself and the mission behind what we’re building. I’ve been a fitness and nutrition coach for 4 years, and in that time, I’ve had the privilege of helping dozens and dozens of people transform their lives — not just physically, but mentally, personally, and relationally. My coaching philosophy goes far beyond just workouts and meal plans. It’s about teaching people how to build a lifestyle they can respect — one built on discipline, structure, and identity.

My goal is simple:
To inspire and equip more people to level up not just their health and fitness, but every aspect of their lives. Whether you want to heal your relationship with food, burn fat, build muscle, customize your own meal plan, or finally stay consistent with habits that stick — I’m here to walk you through it. But it didn’t start with strength. It started with struggle.

For years, I battled with my own eating disorder — cycles of binging, gluttony, emotional eating, and a distorted view of food. I know firsthand what it feels like to be out of control, to feel ashamed, and to be caught in a loop you can’t escape. That experience shaped the way I coach today — with empathy, with structure, and with the belief that anyone can rebuild from ground zero if they’re willing to aim again.

I currently hold 3 nationally accredited personal training certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM):

  • NASM-CPT – Certified Personal Trainer

  • NASM-CNC – Certified Nutrition Coach

  • NASM-WLS – Weight Loss Specialist

And I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin — a background that has allowed me to understand not just the science of transformation, but the psychology behind lasting change.

Why I Built Find Your Zero Fitness

I created Find Your Zero Fitness to give people more than just fitness advice.

I built it as a movement to help beginners burn fat, build muscle, and stay consistent through three things:

1. Flexible dieting
2. Custom workout programming
3. Consistency coaching rooted in real habit formation

But deeper than that, I built it to help people recalibrate every area of their life:

  • Physically — through evidence-based training & nutrition

  • Mentally — through mindset systems & discipline development

  • Personally — by raising internal standards and confidence

  • Relationally — by restoring alignment, communication, and presence

Because when you Find Your Zero — when you get dialed in — everything in your life improves.

So, what do you say? Ready to Get Dialed In?
